Contact Your Legislators

The Board of Directors strongly encourages all sworn members, their spouses, and other family members to contact their respective legislators. In an effort to assist you with this, we offer the following suggestions:

• Please refrain from using state owned computers or state owned email addresses.
• Be professional in your communications.
• Be brief.
• In the subject line of the email type, "Constituent - Your City".
• Introduce yourself.
• Tell your legislators how long you have been employed as a State Trooper.
• Respectfully say what you have to say.
• Close the communication with your full name and contact information.

Keep this in mind: The refusal to communicate is in itself a powerful communication.
